Believe it or not it is the most inspiring post I’ve come across in a long time. Maybe it makes others sad or depressed but it speaks out to me and I just want to read it over and over again. This is absolutely, amazingly beautiful.
“Life is pain, highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something.” — William Goldman
I’m not a big fan of “positive thinking.” Yes, it’s important that we love ourselves, that we try to see all that is good and worthy of gratitude in us and others. I believe in seeing the light in others and offering them the support they need to better themselves.
But I also know that it is extremely important that we be realistic about what is what and who is who.

It looms above me
Compelling and forceful
I cannot reach
For I am doubtful
The burden’s upon me
Overwhelming and painful
I cannot heave
For I am incapable
Around it follows me
Unspeaking and direful
I cannot speak
For I am fearful
Responsibilities burden us all and as we grow up they just keep increasing. Currently, I have so much going on in my life, it’s like I’m juggling things around. This causes me stress but writing down my thoughts has relieved me of most of it.
I have created this blog because I love poetry. To me, poetry is an art. Art is something that i enjoy and I believe shouldn’t have too many rules. I write poems in whatever order, whatever format I feel fits best with the theme of the poem and I believe that is the best way to write poetry.
My work is my personal thoughts and opinions. Everyone is free to use anything on this blog for whatever reason they want. FYI this is my very first blog, so hopefully I’ll become better over time.
Hope you enjoy the tour around my brain!
I am Nabiha, a not-so-extraordinary girl, from a not-so-extraordinary city, and I write blackverseblog to share my own thoughts and opinions expressed through poetry and fine arts. I started this blog as a means to communicate my feelings and ideas with the rest of the world– specifically for people with similar ideas to mine.
I believe that a lot of us, as youth, have so much in common but don’t know how to express ourselves. I’m here to encourage the idea of exploring means of expressing ideas that compliment every individual’s skills and interests. I feel like when we truly express ourselves, we work better as a whole and create more understanding and peace with others and within ourselves.
I hope you enjoy my work and take something positive from what may seem like a lot of negative. Thus the quote, “The darkness shall be light the stillness the dancing.”
